# Secure your Bot

> Follow the steps below to reduces the chance of your Bot getting banned.

<Note>Following these steps doesnt guarantee that your bot wont get disabled. Depending on your activity, there will always be a slim chance of your bot getting disabled.</Note>

    Use an account that is in **ZERO** Servers, and do **NOT** use it to invite the bot aswell!

    Do not use your bot for any other applications, this gives users the abiity to report your bot for other reasons than RestoreCord.

    Do not sell members on RestoreCord, this is against Discord's Terms Of Service and will result in your bot getting disabled.

    Using a custom domain completely hides the RestoreCord brand on Discord's side. This makes it harder for Discord and your members to detect that you are using RestoreCord.

    Use a name that is appropriate for your bot. This will make it harder for Discord to detect that you are using RestoreCord. Do not impersonate other bots.

    By adding your bot to an application team, you can lower your chance of loosing access to the bot.
